I know this is for the breeder group but i thought I would ask in the Macaw forum. i have a proven pair of B&G Macaws incubating 3 eggs. Today is the 29th day of inccubation. They usually hatch on the 27th day the eggs are dark just like all of her other clutches that have hatched. Should i leave the eggs for a few more days??? Also about 3 days ago she placed a walnut in with the clutch of eggs and is incubating it. In my 20 years of breeding i have never had a bird place a nut in with their clutch. is this unusal? Anyone have any advice???

I would leave the eggs for a few more days -- hatch date is determined by when she starts incubating, not always when they are laid. My birds have also put nuts in with their eggs, it's the mother-ly thing to do I guess. Good luck!!
