Is there......

Postby ZazuSally on Tue Aug 12, 2008 12:19 pm

Is there anything worse than someone taking credit for what was your idea? You know those stainless steel buckets? I was using those as a bird toy bucket months before I passed along the idea to a "friend" who has an Internet bird toy business. Never ever got any credit for the idea and she made a killing selling them. Claims they are one of her "best sellers". Now she's actually saying it was her idea but there are people who know she's full of it because I told them to buy one for their birds before I gave the idea to her. Stuff like that really irks me. I always say "give credit where credit is due". Of course, it wasn't the first idea she stole from someone.

And for anyone who wants one of those SS buckets, there are lots of places that carry them for under $10. The 1 quart and 2 quart buckets. Just put a quick link on them and you are good to go for your bird.

The lady we bought our Grey from gave us one several years ago when we picked him up as a baby birdy present. I have since added them to all the birds.

Now if I could just get them to put their toys back in, oh well.

My birds love theirs too, Chris. GREAT idea, ZazuSally  I pay more than $10 for mine, but I LOVE supporting good bird-loving businesses: http://www.greyfeathertoys.com/cgi-bin/ ... _stainless

But I have my limits  A couple hours ago, an AC service contractor said I needed to replace the filter on my unit. He could do it for ONLY $162  Got online and ordered 2 for $50. It'll be a few days before they arrive, and I'll need to slide one in, all by myself, oh my oh me, but the thought of how much I saved might help get me through. Not that the AC guy was a bird lover

Sorry you lost a friend over this. Yes, there ARE worse things, like losing a bird you love, losing a loved one to cancer. Ten dollar buckets to hold toys are a terrific idea, but friends will hold YOU when the really rough stuff happens.

Blue,

What kinda filter are you buying for your AC? I buy fairly top of the line ones at Wally World for $6 to $8 & replace them every month or two depending on the amount of use.

It's a Honeywell 16x25x4 3/8". Does that tell you anything?

No, but I really know nothing about the tech side of these things.

In full agreement with you there. Is there any way you could be given credit for your idea so you could put the anger behind you?

BE, in truth I'm more angry at myself. As Dr. Phil says "you teach people how to treat you?"
