Hello All,

I am new to the forum. Well I should say I joined a while ago and the forum was recommended by a great bird lover just like myself. I unfortunately never got the time to actually post. I guess I could use the excuse that I have been working really hard on my education and furthering my career. I am from Western Massachusetts.

I am the proud mommy to 2 beautiful cockatiels. They are my everything.
I know this is the cockatiel forum but I would feel really guilty if I left out my parrotlet Ellie aka the green terror.

My two cockatiels names are Willow and Auggi. Willow came into my life when her owner (an older gentlemen) past and his son brought all his cockatiels (3 or 4) to a local mom and pop pet store in my area. I knew the owner fairly well and when I saw Willow her beauty was stunning. All her friends by that time were sold and I could not understand why she was left. It was love at first site. The owner saw how in love with her I was and actually gave me her. The mom and pop pet store ended up closing and that is when Auggi came into our life. He is the smartest little thing. He is tiny but very quick. He had some trama done to him by his parents when he was young and I think he would possibly have a small case of feather plucking. I have yet to make the determination... I love the odd ball Well that is my story....

Hi and welcome! I'm new here myself and we only just brought our baby cockatiel (Baby Raisin) home last week along with a little budgie. This forum is a great place for wonderful stories and education and information on our dear little birdies. I know I have learned so much here and there is always an answer to my questions. I look forward to hearing more about your three. How old are they and/or how long have you had them?

Hi Sara! It's about time you made it here! Yeah, don't forget those pics.....we love pics! Oh, and please include the green terror! lol I have one of those here too! lol only he's a lovie, and I think they pretty much have the same reputation as parrotletts. Mine is due for a wing clip, so at the moment he can really drive me crazy and always on the go and giving me a hard time going back in his cage.....that's when I know it's time!!
Anyway, welcome and glad you finally made it here!

Welcome to the UAS family. I'm sure you will enjoy, just as we all do, the various stories, questions and debates that are what makes this website the best on the Internet. (yes, I am quite biased) As has been said, we also like pictures of your birdies, and that helps make things interesting. I've always tried to capture my kids doing funny stuff, but as luck would have it, by the time I get the camera set up and ready, they quit doing the funny stuff. Anyhow, we're here to help you grow and learn about your charges.

Hey, great pics......a little off center but hey we don't ask for perfection here! Look at the size difference between those two! Funny, I have the same thing with here with Woody and Boss.....Boss is such a big girl and Woody is my wimpy little boy! Have you ever weighed them? There is like a 20 gram difference between my two, probably even a little more as I haven't weighed them too much lately. Love that first pic looking at you with the head tilt!
