This is an open letter from Kirsten & Damian to all of you who support Up At Six

When you look at Up At Six today, it's hard to imagine we were born as a single web page 15 years ago.

What began as a hobby, because we share our lives with our birds, has evolved into the premier avian website on the internet. The absolute best aviculture site for bird lovers to communicate, share information, and their mutual love for their feathered friends.

Its important for you to understand that it is YOU and your participation that makes it all happen. We thank you for your support.

We have always operated Up At Six as for FREE information site, but it costs a lot of money to keep a site the size of Up At Six up and running.

We are now transferring over 5 gigabytes of information daily, and the monthly costs to keep the network up have skyrocketed. We need to upgrade our hardware and software. This will cost thousands of dollars. We need your help.

Having said this, its time to announce a minor change in our operations that will begin 07/15/2008.

While the majority of the site will remain FREE, we have decided to implement a small 'subscription fee' to post to the classifieds area. Less than 30 cents a day. Click here to start the subscription process.. ( Purchases made prior to 07/15/2008 are automatically credited the correct number of days.) As always, reading ads, general chat rooms and the rest of the site will remain FREE.

Also, we will gladly accept your greatly appreciated donations.
