I've always discouraged people from putting their email addresses in their posts. This is to prevent the email harvest robots that make it through from getting your address and bombarding you with unsolicited email. Instead, this system makes use of two features that are safer - in board messaging and in board email. The first, in board messaging, will stay on this system and alert you when a new message is waiting. The second will relay the email to you so that the sender doesn't have your true email address. If you wish to let the sender know your email address, you can always do so.
With this being said, a lot of people don't know how to update their email address on this system. It only takes a moment and is worth the extra time it takes.
Step One: Click the User Control Panel link in the upper right corner of the screen (aka the UCP)

Step Two: Once you're in the UCP you'll see a number of tabs. Click the Profile tab

Step Three: You'll now notice that your options on the left have changed to Profile related options. Select "Edit Account Settings" here.

Step Four: On the right, you'll now see an area to enter your email address and confirm it.

Step Five: You can now submit the changes to your profile by clicking the Submit button at the bottom of the screen.

That's it. The system now has your current email address. The system can now reach you when you deem necessary.
Enjoy,
Damian
The key to happiness is to avoid ever putting salt in your eye. Not matter how tempted and curious you may be, consider it unwise. Those who are still willing to attempt such a feat should at the very least have a video recording system handy so others may benefit by watching your mistake take place...
