okay... I am gunna say this again... no no no no NO! For many, many reasons, no! If she lays an egg, then she lays an egg, but do not encourage it! Keep them separated. You are going on a long trip in a month and will be leaving the birds with someone else--do not leave them with chicks--they will be dead by the time you get home. Do not give them the box and put them together nd encourage them to lay. I have put my male and female back together because they have NO interest in breeding right now. If you think your's are interested, do not put them together. It is irresponsible to leave 2 birds and their chicks with someone that does not know anything about birds--you will get nothing but dead birds.
Frankly after this, I give up. I have written the same info over and over, as have others, but you seemed determined to do things your own way, even if it is not the best for their birds... this is becoming a waste of my time and energy. You have a great resource in this website and all the people here that know so much more than you, or me, but you will not take advantage of it! I have been patient thus far, and I suspect that others have been too, because you seem young (which is all the more reason not to be breeding birds)... but if you want an honest opinion, then ask for it, if you plan on doing things your own way no matter how many people tell you it is a bad idea, don't waste anyone else's time! I am sorry if this is too blunt or insensitive, it is not meant to be, but you have to understand it is simply disrespectful to keep asking questions that have already been answered with a lot of time, energy, and thought.
