First, thanks again to those who responded.

I took her to the vet today and it appears she has an inflammation in one of her ovaducts. Won't know for sure until all the blood work comes back in a couple of days. For now, I'm $500+ poorer, but MUCH less scared. It should prove interesting to try to get two liquid meds into her twice a day for 3 weeks. Dr. Bloss suggested putting it in applesauce which she's never had before, but we'll see. I'll manage somehow. Once she realizes I'm willing to get bitten and still get the meds into her she'll get resigned to it, as she has to other behaviors of mine she finds objectionable. (Taking her food dishes out for washing, changing her toys, or putting on her harness are a few examples.)

Please keep up the prayers and send good thoughts our way. Her vet visit today cost me a vacation I was planning to take, but she's well worth it!
