I have a macaw that I need to rehome. This bird needs a vet. The bird has diarrhea and the stool has a smell like vomit. Besides that the bird does scream some, not alot but some. It is also not a tame bird for new people. It will take time for the bird to trust a new person. The bird is very friendly for me and many people it sees often, but strangers have been bitten.

I have no resources. Like many people in this recession, I have lost my job and I am facing both foreclosure and reposession of my car. I am out of savings.

I have contacted rescue groups and the bird is on a waiting list for a sanctuary, but the estimated wait is 3 or 4 months.

I don't really want to get rid of my beloved pet, but I am willing to rehome to someone who has the resources and experience to care for a macaw. If you are willing to vet this bird and provide a loving, forever home, please contact me.

This bird does not appear to get along with smaller birds.
