Severe Macaw lost toenail... Will it grow back?

I have a Severe macaw, while boarding last week, accidently lost a toenail caught wound up in the threads of its sleeping hut. Our poor little Severe Macaw seems fine now, but is missing a toenail. Will the toenail grow back? I'd appreciate any advice or help in trying to get the toenail to grow back. Thanks.

It depends on whether the toe's growth plate was damaged. There's nothing you can do, but she'll do just fine even without it. Poor baby girl. Glad it was no worse
