Cage liners

Postby swindiana57 on Thu Aug 21, 2008 8:58 am

Hey,

Is anyone out there using those cut to fit tray sheets for their birds cages. We are still using newspaper but I'm thinking of trying something different & leaning this direction. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have used liners for a couple of years, and they are the greatest. I have gotten them from Polly's Perch, Cage Catchers and even Drs. Foster and Smith. If you compare the size you need with all 3 places, you can often save money. They are SO convenient. I put a stack of 10 or 20 in the bottom and then just roll off the top one every day. I only have 2 cages, so I find the cost reasonable and worth every penny.

Thanks for the insight. That's what I was hoping to hear.

I would ditch the liners and just use regular newspaper. Your bird will probably pull up the newspaper too, but at least it won't be harmful if he or she ingests it. Only use the black and white printed newspaper--don't put any colored or glossy newspaper (advertisements) in the cage.
