Hey Bob S..gotta question for ya

Hi, Bob..
I was reading an older post titled "harlequin macaw?' and came across one of your responses that said something of the sorts that a harlequin macaw is much more predictable than a catalina or other scarlet hybrids. Will you elaborate on that subject for me?

I am owned by a catalina macaw named alli, and am just curious because I have never heard that there were actually differences in the various hybrid's temperments...and I am very curious.

thanks!
Hi! I'm an indecisive college student who's going through the motions of growing up. But my three constants are the birds..Perry the cockatiel, Greenbean the Meyer's parrot, and Alli, the Catalina macaw.

    Cassandra,

Scarlets or anything that has Scarlet in it has the tendency to not be as a Greenwing or a hybrid that contains GW, such as a Harlequin... granted, that's a generalization and I really don't believe in them at times but, I have seen some pretty rowdy Scarlets, Camelots, Capri's and Catalina's...

Please dont misunderstand me, I truly love Scarlets, I think they are probably the most beautiful of all the macaws and severely misunderstood.

I own a Ruby which is half GW and half Scarlet and I love the mix! I have the intelligence of a Scarlet and the steadiness of a GW... I also like Catalina's because of their size... not too big, not too small!

I hope this answers your question... Have a Happy Holiday!
