Hyacnith Macaw

Postby arschria12 on Mon Sep 03, 2007 5:58 pm

Hello, my name is Amber. My mother Dottie Schira passed away on June 5. She ran an organization called bird placement program which I am taking over. At this time right now She has several birds that need a good home because I can't give them the attention that they need. I have a Hyacinth Macaw which she is 3, I have a blue front amazon which I don't know the age and I don't know if it is a male or female, I have a sun conure and he is 7 years old, finally I have a yellow nape which she is 7 as well. All are tame except the blue front. They all come with toys and food. I was wondering if anybody can help me find them a good home. If anybody has some Ideas let me know.

Thanks Amber.

I'm so sorry you've lost your mom, Amber. You need to talk with someone who runs a reputation rescue and rehoming organization to get tips on how to find these birds proper placements. I will ask some I know to PM you right away. Perhaps others will too, so you can get good input and not make mistakes your mom would regret in rehoming these birds.

Mapquest tells me there are ten cities named Medina in the US. Are you in Ohio?

Prayers, Paca

Amber, I've sent you an email about 2 friends who are experienced rescuers and both wanting to help so you aren't taken advantage of. Please be careful and don't move too fast. The birds need you to be as cautious as your mom was.

My best, Paca

Our friend Amber also has 2 amazons that need to be placed, with the same sort of wording: big new stainless cage, toys and treats. Are we really sure that this is the total truth. There is no information about amber on the UAS profile; even the location is not specific.

Thanks for the pictures, Amber. Pretty birds and clearly very tame. That will make it much easier to find good homes for each of them.

One of my friends knew of your mom's long struggle through rescue channels and read her online journal. So very sad to lose a good person, especially your mom  I lost my longtime partner 7 years ago and know it's a hard thing to deal with. I know she would be very proud of what you're doing to protect the birds she loved.

You have my email -- feel very free to ask for help anytime you need it. My rescue pals and I are eager to see you succeed. We'll all do anything we can to help.

I'm very sorry you've received such vicious hate mail since yesterday's post. It's a shame that some people have neither hearts nor brains. Stay true to those who're true to you and keep protecting those birds who need you.

Healing light, Paca

I just wanted to let you know that I don't give my information out because it is none of peoples buisness. If they are intersted in my birds and I aprove of them then they can come see my birds. As a security reason I don't give that info out. I could get robbed. My mother ran a rescue and that is why they all come with cages, toys and food. They don't all come with stainless steal cages. If you read right the only one that comes with a stainless steal cage is the hyacinth. Thank you for you comment but next time you want to bash someone when you don't know the whole story make sure it is someone else. I don't have time for people like you. Thank you and god bless you.
