The Hyacinths were able to experience their new flight for the first time Monday and they really seemed to enjoy it. There was about an hour of loud vocalizing in the beginning as they became adapted to new sights & sounds, especially seeing cows & a horse for the first time in the nearby pasture! Neither of these birds have known any other home but mine, for Goliath, he's been in the same house/birdroom for nearly 10 years so this is a big change for him. Here is the link to all the photos. http://www.allforahorse.com/new_flight.htm
I haven't posted in ages, for those that don't know....I am in the process of moving to a new location, only 15 miles from my present home (which is for sale). My husband & I purchased a 20 acre farm, we will eventually build a new home on it once my current house is sold. There is a link to "our farm" within the bird flight page, check it out! Here is a photo of Gia from Monday, posturing for the camera.
Will have photos of the Cockatoos up by tomorrow.
