Hey everyone, I'm a newbie and just wanted to say hi. I am owned by 2 lovebirds Dory and Moe and recently lost my blue and gold Paco at 5 months. Miss him dearly! :(

Not exactly sure, autopsy was inconclusive as a to cause vet is as stumped as the breeder! His liver shut down as well his white blood cells were elevated. He originally went in because he was reguritating and was inactive, found after an xray that he had a blockage in the crop and was given anistectic to remove the blockage went down hill from then. total time at the vets was 5 days. the 5th day I brought him home as I was thinking he was stressed and he passed in my arms 5 hours later. I am happy that he did not die alone at the vets but can't figure out why it happened!

I am also new here. Welcome :-).

I am so very sorry about the passing of your baby. I lost an adult male M2 many years ago (tree fell on the house, he got soaked, pneumonia and died), and it was like losing a child. It was a full 10 years before I could even look at another bird. I grieve with you, and hope that someday the sadness will fade, and perhaps another BG will come along to help make many years worth of great memories with you.
