Hello again.....it's been several years since I've been around here, but it's good to see this site is still around. I have a B&G who is now 8 years old. In the past 2 weeks he has become very agressive with me, lunging and biting. I can't think of anything that is different. Does anyone have any thoughts.....is there anything special about turning 8 years old??? Kris

Hi Kris I have a B&G that is only a year old . My friend Kriss has 4 B&Gs. Charlie is 9 . He likes me . he always come runnig to get on my shoulder so I can give him a peanut. Well lately he has been like your B&G. lunging and trying to bite. Kriss told me it was his hormones. He told me charley was a teanager trying to prove himself. Just give your bird some space until he settles down. Have a good day Mark

That was my thoughts, I just couldn't remember when those teen years kicked in. I hope it doesn't last as long as human ones!!!!!!!

I have a M2 & have been told the same thing, that around 8 or 9 those old hormones kick in & look out. Now I know a too & a B & G aren't the same but take it for what it's worth.
