We have I consider rescued a few- needing to be better fed, housing and understood- a few have been puchased due to couldnt walk away and leave them, for someone eles to continue screwing with. A few have been purchased as babies cause we fell in love, but in all we love helping and wittnessing the growth and happiness of those we have been fortunate in making family. Although being part of birds life for 40 + yrs i wouldnt trade my experiences for anything, some have come to us open banded- not hand fed and we have excepted that they may never totally trust or want human contact, but I know in my heart we have made their captive life wonderful- all are healthy, happy and fit. To wake at 5 am and feed, clean and work with our birds is the greatest reward i will ever need, my life is complete if I was to go tonight! Knowing My Husband and I have done our best and it shows, when compliments come from vet and the shop I use to work for" which I really hold dear, Makes one feel good about what they do!
