Hi everyone. I haven't posted for sometime but I need some help figuring out why my B&G macaw,6 yrs, Zouey is doing this. I also have a CAG, Alice that is 7, we got her about a 2 years before Zouey. When we are home, we open their cages and let them hang out. For the past 3 months or so, when I'm occupied doing chores or something and Zouey does not get her "attention" she will climb down and go over to Alice's cage and try to attack her. Everytime I am caught off guard by it and I hear them growling. Zouey wants to get IN Alice's cage. Then she starts lunging at Alice. I have to get a towel to get her and place her in her cage telling her bad bird. I walk off and she's in "time out" for a while. What is the deal ?! Is she jealous, or just trying to get attention from me? I try my best to give them equal amts of attention. Of course, macaws can be more demanding. Now I let them take turns being out but occasionaly they are out at the same time. Thanks for any advice on how to handle this... I would absolutley die if anything happened to Alice.
