Spray him regularly with plain tap water. He might like it cold, or maybe warm. Spray him early enough that he has several hours to dry completely before bedtime. Never use soap unless he's gotten into grease of some sort.

I wouldnt use soap on your bird. The birds in the wild dont use soap. Your bird will be beaking its feathers cleaning them and soap may not be good for it.My B&G goes into the shower with me . I put her on the shower door until Im ready. Then she come onto my arm and I let the water hit my shoulder to make it go up into the air a little so it not hitting her at the full force. She loves to play in the water for a while then go back up to the doors top. some day she will only go into she water once then on other days she will be soaked. I let her drip off before she goes back to the cage and I make sure the house is warm. I have to wipe down the walls somedays. She is the only one that likes my singing voise. The shower is one of the few places I can sing. She was a little afraid of the water at first, but now she loves it. and we do it once a week to help keep down the dander dust. Mark

No soap! Just plain water. Either use a spray bottle or put him in the shower or tub. Early in the day so he has time to dry before bedtime.

Gentle cycle, rinse and spin, drip dry

LOL. Just kidding. NO soap. Unless you're a comorant, penguin or other shorebird stuck in an oil slick, NO soap. They're not like dogs who get stinky and muddy and roll around in the dirt and need little pink ribbins stuck in their ears every other week after a blow dry at Petco.

We at parrot sales store- do use parrot wash and works very well cleaning feathers and down. We have many clients that ask for this service.
