FEATHER LOSS

my macaw is 7 months old i been finding little blue feathers on the bottom of the cage and its obvious where they came from because he is missing a good number of feathers on top of his head now . does anybody know what could be going on ?? or has anybody experienced this ??any help is x-tremely appreciated.

He's probably molting. Google parrot molt to learn all about it. It's perfectly normal.

Missing feathers

Also check out wether he is rubbing his head on a particular toy or bell to get a scratch and it is too much. I have seen that happen LOL
