My 1st clutch of scarlet macaws are now 10 weeks old. They are starting to climb around in their container quick a bit. At what age should I move them into a cage with their container? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
Jeff

I don't know. Not sure if there are any breeders on here. If no one answers try going to Birdsnways.com There are breeders that post on Macaw Chat there.

Hi When they are well feathered out and walking well you can move them to a cage ,but put a bar only a few inches off the bottom. I put a 2x2 x6 with little sides onthe ends for them to climb on it when they are movig well .It helps with ballance. Food bowls and water on the bottom. In cold weather I put a heating pad on the side of the cage. Do you still have heat on them? They like toys to play with at this age. soft chew, bells, and so on. If you have anymore questions, just ask. Mark
