Everyone in rescue, however deeply, knows they are not always the best place for a bird in need. Finding that better place is a vital role in saving them.

We were considering getting him out of there and donating him to the local Parrot store to get him into a good home.

Is it possible to get the shop to buy it and then sell it on? Just a thought...Whatever happens, I wish you well.

The lady wants a 1000.00 for a 27yr old- because he talks( big whop!). They dont give a crap about the birds, just money- we have spent thousands taking in birds! The Parrotshop cant just up and buy him, plus this bird isnt handable at all, so it would be a Big job. She has so many babies and her own going on, I dont want to unload him on her. To me- wether we buy or given its a rescue if the bird was not being cared for properly!

I feel we did what we could do- best to rescue one and give him a devoted home!

I agree, I just wish we could have done someting for the bird we had to leave there. Seems most people here don't think we did n't do the right thing anyway.

It doesnt matter what people think. We know we did the right thing! We always will! And I would NEVER put down anyone who would take and buy a parrot and give a home with nothing but respect and love!

True, I am just losing interest inposting here if all we get are PMs telling us we are wrong.

Don't let rude individuals who have no idea how you operate ruin what you are doing; I look forward to seeing your posts here - especially where Buzzy is concerned, but to be honest - in all of your bird affairs. IF there's anything I can do to help with the macaw in need please DO let me know.

I'm confused by the conversation you are having with each other. Are you both involved in getting Buzzy out of there or strangers who've each done similar rescues and are talking about your separate experiences?

Jhassell, you seemed miffed about my reply that your home might not be the best place for the second bird to stay. I was replying to your post about not knowing what course to take and being unable to pay $1,000 for him. What I meant was that the better plan might be to find someone else who'd take him. And I said it here on the chat, not via PM. What's wrong in what you're trying to do, according to the people who're PMing you?

This is a very slow forum. Please don't think the small number of responses you've gotten means there's this big crowd of members reading along and disapproving in silence. There's just a little handful of us here. No need to pick fights among friends.
