I get the impression that once you have one parrot, you just have to have more..... The same happened with our dogs. We got Ice a German Shepherd 6 and a half years ago when he was 8 weeks old. I always wanted more dogs and then when we came to Spain, we got Taz, the Boxer. Then I wanted an English Bulldog. My hubby said "As long as I have a hole in my bum, there won't be any more animals in this house". So we got Boss the Bulldog and 2 days ago, Jackers the Macaw joined us. Poor hubby - it is getting like animal farm here now.

We had a huge freshwater tank full of gorgeous fish when we were in the UK. When we moved to Spain, the people who bought our house in the UK loved it so bought it from us as it would have been impossible to transport over here. Might get one at a later date.

WOW. We live in the countryside too. We have about an acre of land and I would like to build an outdoor aviary and make it into a play area for Jackers. Also, I have met a lady who is moving to my town in the Spring who is starting a parrot rescue sanctuary and I would love to help out and take in any unwanted parrots. They would live in an aviary too. I have to look into how difficult it is to make a home-made aviary. Then I will get on and try doing it. Any hints gratefully appreciated!!!

I used to have a horse (many years ago). I would love another but I just don't have the time (or the money!!). Plus I haven't been horseriding for years - I would not be able to walk for days if I went now!!

LJ rode a horse for the US in the Junior Olympics and got a medal. I tried to buy her a horse for her birthday but ended up with a CAG that bites her and loves me instead

I did Jumpers, Hunters, then went to Europe and studied Dressage, and then came to Va to train Race horses and take ones from the track for pleasure and show horses, till I had Babies- then chickened out, Miss them terribly!

Hi, What a cute baby!! What kind of a cage is he in? The perch looks too big around, especially for a baby. Does he have any toys to play with? I would also be offering him some soft foods. Mashed sweet potato, banana, scrambled egg.

It looks like he is out of his cage on a log pile or something.

All of our birds love eggs for breakfast

I thought the same thing, its hard to get a good picture in their cage and we all know hoe easy it is when your holding them. (NOT)
