It is very rare for a B&G to be aggressive with their owner. How old is yours and how long have you had him or her?

Yup I'm in the Cape. You are pretty close. I've not been here long. About 1 1/2 years. Came down here from Georgia and before that NJ.

She is probably still getting used to you and really not ready to go through her terrible two's yet so hopefully if you keep working with her she will settle down some. Was she in a pet shop the whole time or did she have another owner? Ollie was 11 months old when I got him and he'd had a home prior but he's very gentle. Spike was not gentle at all but became pretty good but he was way older when I got him and he'd not been handled in 4 years. I'd just give her short time outs when she got too rough and she'll learn real quick what is acceptable and what is not.

I wish you the best with your blue and gold! Schreech has his times when he is more aggressive... with him it is usually hormonal, but can be as simple as jealousy or I just want to let you know I am not happy with _____!

What Sheri said about time outs is good! I do that with Schreech too and it really helps him to know that it will not be tolerated if he intends to be out playing, etc.
