Hello,
Was wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of macaw I have. I know he is GW. And would of said 100% GW but then seen the back of his neck. He is very different thats for sure. Thanks

I did not get him from a breeder. I got him from someone I know and he was told its a greenwing. Im wondering if other ppl have seen a gw with the green going up the neck like that??? I got suggestions that he is a hybrid of either a flame or maybe a Ruby. So was wondering if ppl input here. Thanks

I'd say possible hybrid as well. The best you can do is to try and track the breeder and perhaps they might know.

I would say he is a GW.. His green scalloping just goes up higher on the back of his next then most and as for the green patch high up on his head this is not common but it has been know to happen. We have a female GW who also has high scalloping on the back of her neck as well and small orange/red spot that she had for a while and it went away after on of her molts..
