I am seriously considering adding a handfed, just weaned, female military macaw to our household. i had one briefly years ago
that I fed out for another breeder but did not have the pleasure of keeping her longer then weaning. Do any of you have one or have experience with them?
Thanks in advance.

I had a handfed military macaw for 6 years, and I have to tell you he was the greatest pet. He talked like crazy, he got alot of input from a yellow nape and 3 greys, and was friendly to just about everyone. And he never chose between man or woman to bond with. Loved us both.

Thanks a bunch! I've already pretty much decided on adding her to our home. Just waiting for final word from hubby.
