Sorta new anyway. I used to post here years ago on the conure and Macaw sections and I see a few familiar friends like Cathy T , Lisa D, Cathy Mc and J Joe.

My flock is still pretty much the same with the exception of my beloved Spike and Perky crossing over the rainbow bridge. They are missed every day by both myself and the flock.

Simba, my Scarlet Macaw has filled the empty cage that Spike left behind. He came to us as a rescue/rehome from Virginia when I lived in Georgia. He has added a lot of joy to the birdroom for all of us. And a lot of comments as to what the other birds should or should not be doing.

For those who know and remember Mischief Merlin he has never really gotten over the loss of Spike although we're working on it every day. For more than 1 1/2 years Merlin spoke not one word. Occasionally now he's trying to communicate but very rarely. Ollie misses Spike but has taken over parts of his nite nite routine and given some of his to Simba thereby keeping Spike alive in our treasured memories each and every day and right before they go to bed.

In the spring of 2005 I relocated from Atlanta, Georgia to Cape Coral Florida and I'm still looking for a full time decent job. We are quite settled in now and the birds just love the sunny warm SW Florida weather.

I've been fine Joanne. How have you been?

Jamie is all grown up. It's so hard to believe. He's still in Georgia and he'll graduate from a 2 year college he decided to go to in December and in January he switches over to Georgia Tech. He'll share an apartment on campus with his best friend Ryan. I really miss him a lot. Hopefully he'll be comming down here for Christmas this year. I'll try and keep up with this chat too since I'm not working right now.

Yes I remember you for sure. And good old Schreech. Hope this new format brings back a lot of oldies that used to post on here. I do like not having to sign in for every single post you have to type especially with my bad wrists.
