Well we went on vacation & left our two macaws together. They normally live together anyway. We had someone come in once a day & feed water & give them birdy breakfast & such, however when we got back the male (they are 3 & 2) was so bonded with her that he bit me several times & pretty hard. He had never done this before. So we separated the two. Her back to her cage, he stayed in his or one went outside to the aviary & within 2 days he was fine. He's back to his lovable self again. She never changed.
Don't really need any advise or anything, just thought I'd throw that out as an experience.
PS they have lived together for over 1.5 yrs & we have left before nothing like this had happened before. Oh Well!!!!! Live & Learn.
