Good to see that there are others out there interested in these beauties. I have two pair also that have given me six babies total that I'm offcourse holding back to make more pairs. Mine I shipped from Texas to miami. Blackcheeks are more shy than the others unless thay are hand fed. When they are hand fed, to me they are even sweeter in personallity than the peachfaced (without insulting anyone), its just my opinion. For breeding they require extra moiture and lots of palm fronds or hay for nest building (not just mulch like peach faced. Try to allways have a bathing dish for them to help with the moisture and keep them in the most quiet or secluded place of your aviary. Don't check the nest often and when you do, know first. This will keep them from jumping of and kicking the eggs to the side. Give them privacy, and good food. They do good in a colony except that when scared, sometimes they all scramble into the same nest. Something a blackmask or fischer's won't allow.
Hope this helps !
