You could buy fake bird eggs and replace some of the extra eggs with fake eggs... or if you have another breeding pair you could try placing some eggs with them.

Monica & Fids "I am willing to make the mistakes if someone else is willing to learn from them."
I had a pair of lovebirds and the hen consistently laid 5-7 eggs per clutch. Incubated all of them and hatched all of them- even 7! I pulled the oldest babies early to handfeed and give the younger ones catch up time. Never had a problem and never replaced an egg either. In a couple other pairs of mine that laid larger clutches, not all would hatch and in fact normally a couple would be clear. Nature has a way of regulating things. If she continutes laying I'd be sure you have an actual male/female pair. I had 9 eggs once from a supposed "proven" pair that turned out to be 2 hens.
A typical clutch of lovebird eggs can be anywhere from 4-8, occasionally more. The largest clutch that a lovie hen laid that I know of was 13. Three were blank, 2 babies didn't survive but 8 fledged. Mind you, the hen that laid all the eggs had help with care of the babies! There's no way she could have fed all of them, especially with the size difference between the first and last ones to hatch!
You would be surprised how well a lovie hen can cover a large clutch...
Linda L. There are no bad birds, just misunderstood ones.
