what to do with two lovies

Postby halliedogg on Sat Aug 25, 2007 6:16 pm

i have two love birds which i do not believe were hand tamed at all and have had quite an interesting journey with them so far. i have had them for about 3 weeks now and they seem to be getting a lot more comfortable with me. i would really like to tame these guys and have read alot about this process. i have found that they are so attached to eachother that this process is almost impossible with them together. and i am just wondering if they were seperated if i would have better luck? look forward to hearing your advice

You can try working with them one at a time or you can take both of them to a smaller room (bathrooms are wonderful for this) and work with them there. They will always like each other but you don't have to be left out of the equation. Attention, attention and more attention is what will get you what you want with these 2. Both may not be equally friendly and your level of interaction with them will be dependent on their personalities.

would it be a good idea to have a time out cage instead of seperating them?
