Hilarious!

Postby Diego's Mom, Lisa on Tue Jan 02, 2007 9:48 am

Ok, a bit more info on the lovebird / cockatiel fascination....

Snowey and Petey came out last night for some "flight time". I was sitting on the floor with Casper playing with some of her toys. Petey flew over and landed on the floor right next to her. He was about 6 inches from my leg.

A short while later, Casper was walking towards me (I was sitting on the stairs). Both Snowey and Petey flew down on the floor and started to follow her. Casper wants nothing to do with either of them so she just walks away. But S & P are fascinated with her. They followed her all over the living room. I did get some pictures, but they were all moving so fast that some were blurry. I will get the hubby to download the pics tonight.

It is funny to see white Casper being followed by 2 pretty blue lovebirds.

That is so funny Lisa. :D

I notice when I let my lovebird, Solo, play on the Tiel's play area on top of their cage Sundance will come out and hang close to the lovebird and follow him around but when Solo comes closer than about a foot to Sundance....Look Out!! It is a wing flap and hiss fest...LOL!

Mr. Lou is such a chicken...he hides in the cage when Solo visits...hehe! But when Solo goes inside their cage it creates a pandemonium and the tiels come rushing out and Solo is sitting all alone in their cage...haha!

    Nothing like "free" entertainment!

    Can't wait for the pics!

    Lovies & Tiels

    I laughed at that post!!!

S & P will try to go into Casper's cage because they want to see what she is eating. They all get the same thing, but for some reason, it is better in someone else's cage!!!

It is funny because they won't go into their cage when they are out flying around. They are afraid we are going to close them in. But they are so eager to go in her cage and not afraid that we will close them in there.

When I let all the birds out (usually an average of 17 birds including my Senegal and my BH Caique and the rest are PF Lovebirds), I put toys on the floor and let them have at it. The lovebirds (especially my breeder male) like to watch the Caique and try to take toys from him. Then my Caique will turn around, toy in beak and hop after them, making them scatter for a second and then come back. I have got a few videos of it, as one of my babies (whom I've decided to keep) was trying to hop just like the Caique!

Not just better, it's less fattening  other ways to reduce calorys are to cook for someone else and then eat them, or to steal some off your partners plate :P
