Hi I am new to the site, my 10 week old baby is Regurgitation most of the formula I give him, it started 2 weeks ago, he was on 3 100 cc feeds a day, weighed 1050gm and had a steady weight gain, then the Regurgitation started, he also started refusing full feeds, so I reduced the volume to 60 cc 5 times a day, but the trend continued, plus now he started losing weight, I took him to our Avian certified vet who told me that there is nothing wrong with him and that he is getting ready to fledge and wean. At this point he might take 40cc and keep it in 3 time a day, but for the most he will regurgitate all of it.
He is sparky, playful, perches, climbs all over his cage, eats the variety of food he is given, does not cry, drinks water, and seems to be getting bigger visually, flaps his wings like crazy, but has lost 50 grams in weight. His feathers are beautiful. Is this normal behaviour. I cannot help worrying. He is on Kaytee hand feeding formula for Macaw’s plus fruit, vegtables, nuts, seed bread, small amouts of peanut butter, Kaytee water softerned pellts, cheroos, and some of our cooked meals.
