why is the symbol to the left of my title different

The symbol to the left of my ad, which looks like a circle with lines is blue when others are red and mine has a star on it when others do not. Does anyone know why?

That denotes that YOU are the original Poster of that item (OP)
In other forums where you might just "post" to an existing post it will show animated lines (moving) like in scrolling.
This feature is good when you have automated sign in feature (enabled) with "show recent postings" as your default page for Up @ Six. It all allows you pick out from a long list of items, those which you have particular interest in.
