Hi, I'm looking to buy a gouldian. I live in southeast washington. Anyone in my area? I'm wanting one for a pet. Do you have to have two to keep each other company? Summer

They are happier in pairs. I wish I lived closer to you, I have an older one that I would love to find a pet home.
They do fine in pairs of the same sex if you don't want to breed. Males are great because they sing and you don't have to worry about egg binding.
Good luck!! If you have any questions on keeping them, we have some very knowledgeable people!!

They are hard to find. Especially females. Im just learning this breeding thing from a well know breeder friend. Ive had good luck so far with other finches. I hope this time next year I have a great clutch of Gouldians.
