Thoughts are a brewing to build a small aviary in the corner of my Florida room. How much would you expect one to cost that would just go across the corner of a room, but use the existing windows (they are vinyl windows, not glass) or do you think that is a bad idea?. I'm thinking you would really only need to build the one side, and a top so it wouldn't go to the ceiling. Even using thick wire in the door.......I don't know. or could build a free standing corner aviary? Just thinking.




This picture was taken before we bought the house and tore up the carpet, etc. That is probably the corner I would use. One side faces the east so morning sun would come in....and afternoon sun would not.

A corner (triangular) aviary sounds nice. But I would consider a movable
flight (on a platform and rollers) that would fit in that corner, rather than set it in permanently. It would be a lot easier to clean around that area, when needed.

Seconding what Alhee said. We have an outdoor aviary, attached to the house on two sides and accessible only through the house. Cleaning out is always a, uh, challenge. But that corner would be an *awesome* spot for your birds.
