It has been a very busy week... chicks are now starting on one week old... baby # 4 got squashed.. I tried 3 times to band # 1..
today it has lasted 6 hours... before it was only lasting a few hours... I actually caught the cock.. in the process.. today.. of trying very hard to get it off..

So far... when she got up to eat an bathe... he would get in nest only to clean an protect...never really sitting down... This afternoon... she taught him to feed chicks... directly from him... hence... moving to thicker feed...

Also noted rapid growth change on chick # 1 ... from 6-7 days..

After banding # 1.. I laid on towel to inspect... he tried crawling.. lol.. Wings getting much stronger... I rub gently under his beak.. head arched up...

Nest is going to get crowed quick..

Also noted this morning at first stirring... he tried to breed... caused a fight... she flies back to nest to sit tight.. already...
