Well... what a learning ..... so wish I had a video on them... their behavior... he is the teacher... he has tried repeatly to beg from her... she pecks him away... yet she begs from him.... while sitting in the nest.. she puts on a big display... of fluttering her wings at an amazing speed...
I have watched him... go to the nest an try to squeeze in... causes a little squabble.. but she gets out... he then gets in ... but does not sit tight.. she eats fast.. flys about... gets water... an goes back to the nest... he trys to beg... like he's trying to teach her... to feed babies... she will not feed him.... an has to peck his head to make him get out of the nest.. she then stood on his back.. an pecked the back of his head fairly kurt... he got up...
she was sitting tight.. but noticed today... she stands up in the nest... leaving the eggs to cool off.. she has not left any droppings on edge of nest... she gets up an out for that...
By my count the eggs are due to start hatching about the 22nd.. that's only four more days... I have baby food an spare cage ready.. I sure hope her motherly instints kick in quick... its looking a little bleak at the moment.
Found one scrambled egg on the floor... choose not to candle... let it be a surprise... hope I can hold out to do any feedings..
