Removing babies...HELP!

Postby Greekboy66 on Wed Feb 28, 2007 1:56 am

Hey guys. I have a pair of eclectus that has 2 babies. It is almost 3 weeks and i want to remove them. The problem is the female NEVER leaves the nest. The male feeds her. She only sticks half her body out to...empty. How can i get her out of the nestbox without hurting her or the babies.
thanks,
Paul

Does the nest box have a removeable top or side? That would be the best way. If not, you might try moving the male so she doesn't get food from him. She may come out to try and find him and you can take the entire box away, then remove the babies
