Hi. I have both a green cheek and a peach front and don't want to bias you but I hand fed my peach front and he is a nippy little guy. My green cheek is my heart and soul and absolutely my baby. He is my second as I lost my first and a piece of my heart along with him.

Alex (my member name as well LOL) is my absolute baby. All my other fids are ready for bed at 8 or so - not Alex. He actually cries when I try to cover him for the night (DH says he sounds like an old, squeaky dot-matrix printer ROFL.

As far as noise is concerned, if it has feathers and a beak it has the potential to be noisy! There is no such thing as a "quiet bird" in my opinion. The all have a different sound, pitch, etc. so you will have to decide what you want based on the other criteria as well.

Whatever you decide, I hope you love your baby even 1/10th as much as I love my Alex (and his sibs of course!)

They're right-sun conures are loud but they are also the happiest birds I have ever had and they show it all the time. I've heard a lot of good about the peach fronts-they can also learn to talk better than some of the other conures and honestly I think when they're talking they are surely less likely to screech except at their normal times. I haven't found any peach fronts in this area lately but have kept my eyes open. I have 5 little green cheeks and 2 pineapples coming soon. They're great and really are sweethearts when properly handled. I don't think you'll have any problems-not like you're never been around birds right?!
