Hello, I was wondering if anyone has experience with breeding cherry headed conures (or very similar like Mitred). I have a bonded pair (bonded to each other and me) that I want to breed in the next summer. They will be 2 years old next summer (2008). I was told that they're able to begin at 2 years of age and I was wondering if there was anything special I needed to do besides a nest box, & lots of fresh foods for motivation. Also would like some tips on handfeeding quantities for these guys and when to pull from the nest. I currently breed cockatiels and I know it's somewhat similar but not quite the same as they are a larger species. ANY advice anyone could offer me on this would be great as I don't want to jump into this without having more knowledge.
