monet came out today

monet came out of his cage for the first time on his own today. i was so excited i had to take some pictures.

Monet not only came out, but felt comfortable enough to preen that pretty tail FULLY! He's quite beautiful, Tina. He's living up to his name.

thanks, he came out again this evening, it is his bedtime, but he is on my shoulders grooming my hair and grinding his beak. he still will not come to me unless he tries to fly and lands on the floor, but once he was on my hand he jumped onto my shoulder and has been there ever since. i think i will let him stay there for a little bit and then put him to bed.
he knows what "up" is already and has done it when told to from the floor.
