I am so sorry - I didn't have my glasses on - - ha ha. It is a cute little dog.

Sounds like he is doing well. One of the treats that my guys love are walnuts. They can hold them in their little feet because of the ridges and they also love bread. My one sun conure would live off bread if I would let him. I have been getting them the 15 grain bread because of all the goodies in it.

Yah, they do like to be with the family and where the action is. He will be just fine. I took in 3 birds about a year ago and it just took them about a week to feel comfortable. They came with their own cages but the toys and perchs were disgusting so I got them new ones. They just needed to feel safe in the new environment and me. They belonged to a friend of mine, but they would never come to me at his house the few times I saw them and I had hand fed the sun conure when he was a baby. He just turned 8 this March and he is a wonderful little bird.

thanks :) i can see where you could not tell very well about the dog. the pic is small enough to have some trouble with it.

I do think that Monet is starting to settle in but the main thing is he seems grumpier in the morning then he is in the afternoon. I think he is not sleeping as much as he should, so maybe I should leave him coverd a little bit longer in the morning since at night bedtime is so hard for him to give up and go to bed. he aways wants to talk and play so much then. seems like he has his days and nights mixed up or something.

Monet also seems to be getting attached to the kids much faster then he is to me. He comes right up to them when they are near his cage and talks to them. They do not understand him though. He will call out for them when they go outside or leave the room.

Yesterday I took him into the bathroom and got him a bath sicne he would not bath in his cage, then he stepped up for me for 5 minutes, got tons of praise, and then bite me a few times when he got tired of it. So I took him back to his cage. Later I gave him a small piece of a blueberry muffin I had baked, and he got over it. So I think he is really starting to get more comfortable here with us.
