I don't know what has happended to my nanday. She has gotten so "needy". She can be sweet & charming when she is not ratting out the other 2 birds, lately however, she acts like she is not only starving for attention, she takes food out of my hands before it goes into the bowl! She has always climbed down my arm to get to my hand to preen her, now if I am not fast enough, she pinches me until I stop what I'm doing and preen her or fuss at her. Her latest aggrivation is attacking plastic grocery bags, newspaper and/or paper towels. Once the lights go out, she sleeps perched on my shoulder & if I should move, cough, anything, she bites to show her displeasure. If she is not being a pest, she is preening me.
She is what I call a "throw away". A friend of a friend found her & when I got her out of the filthy kennel carrier she was in, she stuck to me like glue. I have no idea her age (or even if she is a her) but I wouldn't trade her in for anything. When Maxx (Alexdrine, female approximatly 11yrs old) & Oyster (8yr old male Congo African Grey) do anything, she rats them out. She makes up for her bossyness with cuddles. She's got a thing for her bell toy and will cuddle & feed it before she comes back to get in the middle of whatever it is I am doing. She has been her about 5yrs. and has never been this big of a pest. Anybody have any ideas

I am bruised all over my arms from her pinching ... she is a brat but I still love her to death. By the way, her name is Polymnia aka Polly the pest
