Hi...I would go with medium and larger sized perches...different sizes and different kinds...they get lots of footsey exercise that way...I keep a couple of the Sandy perches plus several differnt kinds of branches....bird safe wood....

Hello - I own a Major Mitchell Cockatoo named Snuffles. When I was setting up his cage (double Macaw-size) I purchased the $35-$45 perches - approx. 3-4 inches in circumference, I believe. He does have a variety of sizes, some smaller, some larger. The initial cost of it all (including the bird, of course) was rather pricey, but he gets only the best - and is worth absolutely every penny.
