good luck

Good luck with getting Snowflake back. The faster you get ths bird out of this wacko's hands the better. It is possible this lady has serious mental problems thus explaining her weird delusional mood swings.

Chrissy instead of putting this off till next weekend or the weekend after that can't you take time off of work (even if it means making the time up) or getting someone else to pick her up for you. I would think that since she is giving you the opportunity to save your birdie from her that you would jump on it asap and make any arrangements that you can to get her back as QUICKLY as possible. And also the sooner you get her back the less she is suffering. I could be wrong but sounds to me like your not in to much of a hurry anymore to go get her. I would do whatever I could to get her outta this wack jobs hands.

Anyway I hope you get the poor birdie away from her asap and that she is safe and healthy. I wish poor snowflake the best of luck in finding a loving home.

that's part of the problem I'm having with this post and the other one I commented on. To come on here and talk about it like she did, then say something like, "I can't drive 3 hours" to file in court or whatever. I don't know..something just doens't seem right.

In any event I hope the bird finds a wonderful forever home with a new family.

Me filing the paperwork wasn't the problem it was how many trips and all the time off from work I would have trouble with. For me to go back and forth who knows how many times, pay all of the fees and hotel stays (if necessary), and not knowing how long the case would be open it is something that I can't afford. And as far as me or someone else getting down there sooner, I had already thought of that. All my friends and family work. My parents are divorced and neither of them can afford to take the time off. I am helping my mom with the money for the house payments and bills which is why I am in this situation in the first place. I said I was having money problems and yes it was my decision to sell her but as the saying goes "blood is thicker than water" it was us or Snowflake. It really hurt to make that choice but it had to be done. It's not that I don't want to get her out of there as fast as possible but we need our jobs. All of you have said stuff about me and my love for this cockatoo but nobody on here knows me or my history. Some of you I want to thank for all the advice that was given to me and the others need to get the facts straight before judging someone so harshly.

Oh yeah for those of you who care, I have yet to get a response back about me driving down there to meet her. The last e-mail she sent me said never mind and I think that may have meant forget it. I am still checking my e-mail and will write her back tonight if she doesn't respond.

I wasn't judging you at all that is why I said "I could be wrong" and I know that you said you were having money problems in the first place thats why I also said if it was possible for you to take time out of work to pick her up "even if you had to make up the hours/time". I also told you earlier on in this thread that I felt bad because that had to be a hard decision to make to give her up. But I am certainly not about to fight/argue with someone online and I am definitely not going to judge someone that I don't know. So please get your facts straight also. All I really care about is that the bird get out of that horrible situation that may be causing her to act the way this lady is claiming she is acting.

I was not directing my comments towards you Rosies Mommy. I have gotten some responses not posted in this thread and they are mainly the ones I am talking about and one person that is on this thread. Thankfully she has not posted on this topic for awhile. Sorry if you thought it was about you. I know you have been concerned about the situation Snowflake. Thanks.

I e-mailed her right before my last post and she just wrote me back saying Snowflake made a complete 180 turn around and she is sending me the rest of the money in the mail. Hopefully she is telling the truth and Snowflake is happy with her and not sold or still freaking out. This lady has really put me through the ringer and my emotions and mentality of this whole situation has taught me alot. I really wish she would have sent Snowflake back to me but now that she sent the rest of the money I don't think I can do anything more about it. She isn't in violation of the contract anymore and that was my best firepower against her. Everything else was just words not a binding document. What now?

She probably sold him so now she has the money to send it to you. Hopefully thats what happened and he will be with a good home instead of with that freak. I hope Snowflake is happy!!!

I'm hoping that for Snowflake too. I'd much rather the woman be in jail awaiting trial for fraud and her daughter be in foster care.

Damn...........this has been horrible for you Chrissy. I can imagine how wrung out and raw your emotions are. I am just so sorry this happened to you. I think she probably sold Snowflake (mainly because she's seems like a really selfish and money hungry bit*h!) so at LEAST Snowflake is not with her. That's what I believe. And she probably sold Snowflake for 3 or 4 times more than what she paid so the person who bought her will really love her.
