Very good suggestions Cami. I will keep those thoughts in mind when the day comes to bring Kiwi home.
I've known kiwi for 8 years. At one time (a long time ago) I was 'blond". She hated me and bit me when I offered her a treat. I've been "raven' haired for about 4-5 years now and she is Ok with me.
Lately, when I've visted her knowing that she hasn't got the attention from her family like she did before she is now enamored by me.
I know Kiwi can be moody. I've seen her moody.
I've discovered, if I go to her FIRST and ignore their dogs and other birds, Kiwi becomes very friendly from this "I get the attention first' approach.
Time will tell what will happen so I will be posting you folks for advice ASAP!!!!
