Can you help with the below post.

We just received a songbird that is covered in spray foam insulation. It has hardened on the feathers. We tried various oils to remove it and dawn before it hardened. We still have it oil covered but the foam has now hardened. I'm thinking euthasia is the only kind choice left.

Anyone know what will dissolve this stuff that isn't going to immediately put this bird into respiratory stress?

If anyone knows a chemist or someone in a field that may know the answer, it's an emergency.

Thanks
Bev

Does anybody have Robert's e-mail address? Cyndie?

Never mind Robert. She spoke to a chemist. The bird has to be euthanized to end it's suffering. It is completely encapsulated in some foam-like material that has hardened.

I've seen that stuff at Home Depot I think. They have it on display and it looks soft and puffy but it is hard as a rock :(

So sorry Bev....that is so sad....but the kindest thing probably for this little guy. I found a little wild bird on the sidewalk at work last week....was going to bring it home to see what I could do...but it didn't make it the whole way...we buried it under a rose bush...
