Birds are meant to fly. It is our responsibility to keep them safe. I know sometimes that is not possible but when it is with a bit of tweaking on our part, they should be allowed to fly.

Wow, that's great. It's actually a Bare Eyed Cockatoo. I have a friend who has one that I might get if I can convince my BF to let me get him. He's a wonderful bird named Berry and he just loves me!

Actually, you are right it is a bare-eyed. The person who sent it said goffin. That's what happens when you are in a rush. LOL

I wonder were there speakers set up outside so she could follow his voice? They filmed that in L.A. (I assume it was L.A. since they showed the Hollywood sign), and he does his show in Vegas.

Joanne, if you follow that link www.topbird.com they have a few cute video clips there. I think he is from Parrot Jungle, isn't he?

She was following his voice. He was her flock. LOL

Flying Cockatoo

Postby nicky56gizmo on Tue Feb 20, 2007 8:27 am

That really is amazing! How do you teach a bird to come back to you on command? I have a sulphur crested cockatoo, Gizzy, and he is a fully flighted bird. I have an aviator harness, and he flys on that, but I would be scared to have him outside without it on in case he flew away. How is this taught?

Nicky

PS I also belive that birds are meant to fly, and my bird is so much happier since I let his feathers grow back.
