And congratulations to you Cami ! I think raising a U2 to that age without major problems should be commendable.
Thanks, but if you knew Yogi, you'd know how easy he makes it for me. He's the kind of Too that anybody can do anything with. He's so mellow, and sweet.
I have to admit though, that there are times, every now and then, that I wish I wasn't a bird person. I get tired of cleaning messes, and chopping veggies, and spending so much money on toys etc.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE 'em to pieces, could eat 'em up with a spoon, but there are times I wish I could travel more. Because of my birds, I started my own pet sitting business ten years ago, just because I never went anywhere, didn't wanna leave my birdies, and knew there was a need for that sort of thing around here. Now, I work early mornings, late evening, weekends, and every single holiday, spring break, and summer vacation, and business trip my clients take.
I'm not complaining...it pays the bills, but there are those days, every now and than that I dream that I was free to fly. When my girls were young and growing up, I never felt this way, but now that they have left home, every now and then, I kinda wish I could too.
Then, here's the thing - if I did leave my birds and travel, the first thing I'd do is find a bird store and visit the cockatoos! Ha! Ha! Ha!
