I just can't help but post. I've been reading the posts for the last six months. My first G2 is due to hatch the first part of next week. No, I'm not hatching it myself. When I got interested in birds, I just happened to meet a woman who is a hobby breeder and not in real good health. I've been helping her by cleaning up after 15 cockatoos and 1 African Grey and learning everything I could. One of her breeding pairs laid an egg and it is currently in the incubator. She laughs at me because I told her that JoJo already knew two tricks. Roll over to the left and Roll over to the right. Wish me luck.

CONGRATULATIONS, Steve!
After spending that much time with the birds, I'm surprised you don't have more than one coming. LOL They do have a way of stealing your heart. Keep us updated, (I LOVE baby birdie stories) and let us help you with any questions you might have. I KNOW how excited you are, but make sure your baby is fully weaned before you bring him/her home. Goofy Toos can be such whinny babies in the beginning.

I would love to have seen my birds from the egg on, but I know my limitations. I would be afraid to try to raise them. I did get to see pictures of Baby Baggins from the time he was very, very new, though. Bingo, my Goffins, was eight years old, though, when I met him.
